Pastor Scott T. Bottoms reflects on what we truly cry out for during challenging seasons, examining how God sometimes grants the deepest desires of our hearts even when those desires reflect our own stubborn will rather than His. Using examples from Israel's history in Egypt and their demand for a human king under Samuel, he emphasizes the danger of rejecting God's direct rule and calls believers to humble themselves and genuinely seek God's will above their own.
